Default xmas lights

so in MD now, as of TODAY.....every house must turn off their xmas lights until november 27th of '08. if people neglect to do so, they will recieve a fine on a per-bulb basis. i thought it was a joke, but apperantly not hahaha. people can call in and try to get a "extension" though, lmao.

it is apperantly b/c of MD's drought through this past summer, and something to do w/ hydroelectrics.

i'd have to say, 1st time i've heard of some **** like this, haha.

Good! X-mas is over, ya idjits! Get with the times! Seriously, I can't stand that crap...people who put up lights on Thanksgiving day and leave 'em up until February bug the **** out of me. IT'S ONE FRICKIN' DAY, NOT TWO MONTHS!

okay, I'm better now.

Hahahaha!!! That is a crazy law. My wife alwasy busts my ***** after Christmas to take the lights off the house. I hate climbing up on the roofvia a rickety ladder just to add about 20% to my electric bill. I would be one of those that gets fined. Actually, my lights have been off the house for a week now, so maybe I am in good shape.

I'm going to come up with a mod for you guys like the license plate flip hide away mod .. just flip a switch and the lights pop down from under the gutter and flip back up when done.

I'll hire that loud "HEY! BILLY MAYS HERE ..." infomercial guy to sell it on late night tv.

I am leaving my xmas tree (inside) up year round. I just put on those heart shaped lights for valentine days. I'll get little green clover lights for St. Pattys and....

I never heard of a law that says you have to remove xmas lights, what is the difference between xmas lights and landscape lights? I say you should get the ACLU on the job.

Nothing beats the plastic Santa on the roof or chimney all year round.

We see it all the time down here in southern Maryland. (they make great targets)
