The elite is the only one that has an HDMI port on it, so if you want 1080p you have to go with the elite. If you have a 1080p HD tv it's just something to think about.

I do have to agree that the PS3 doesnt have to many exclusive titles. The main one being Metal Gear Solid. If your a fan of that series then the PS3 is worth getting just for that reason (thats what i did.... im a closet NERD) but the majority of games are avaliable for both systems.you gotta remember the PS3 came out a year later then the xbox, i can almost gaurantee the playstation is gonna come out with ALOT of new titles in the next year. And now that the PS3 had a big price cut things are really gonna pick up.

i have gone back and forth between purchasing a PS3 (ONLY because i have some friends/family, that own it, so i could play online with them) but decided against it, cuz basically id be dropping coin for something i basically already own...you heard it hear first though, IF square re-releases final fantasy VII for the PS3 (and if its a ps3 exclusive), I WILL BUY ONE...and thats not a testament for the PS3 being awesome, its a testament to how muchFFVII rocks my socks [8D]

Incorrect. Component can do 1080p, I have mine setup that way. Additionally, MadCatz sells a HDMI converter which plugs into the back of the 360 and gives you an HDMI port. I have one of those too, just need a new HDMI cable so I can hook it up. Its $75 though so you might as well buy the Elite if you want HDMI.

statement #1 is also incorrect in that the elite is the only one with HDMI - that's wrong. I have an arcade I bought a year ago with hdmi (i also have a 20gb hard drive, long story). You just need to make sure you have the falcon board, which all of the newer xbox 360's have. Then if you want optical sound you can use the normal component connector and break off the plastic cover. Then you have hdmi + optical sound. brilliant.
I'd get the pro.
