Wow, do we keep getting hacked on the forum, or is there just something wrong on the servers? It's just really odd what keeps happening.

I think we were hacked (again) - not sure why, but according to another forum member, this time there was a virus which lifted a popup asking the user to download an anti-virus program, which was itself another virus (or so I'm told)
I wonder who's so p...ed off at the Forum, that they would stoop to this ? It's a low blow.......

 

wow...i was actually scared for awhile....what i can gather from looking at what happened, there is a security flaw in this BBS system...somehow, someone was able to write into the javascript of the site, a link to a .js (javascript file) that was either a virus or spyware...

these types of attack are coming and likely aren't directed specifically to us...when a security hole is found in software like this that is used by tons of people, hackers automate a script to find and hack sites that haven't patched the vunerability yet, so hopefully, we have it patched and won't run into this again... :crosses fingers:
