WSOP main event final table 4 months later???
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker...ory?id=3375032
most ridiculous thing ive ever heard of...the main event is about playing perfect poker for a week straight...all the exhaustion, the excitement, and the stress of a whole week of flawless poker is what the final table is all about...sorry im a poker fanatic, and this just pisses me off...they're playing it off as "it'll make the final table more exciting" but its really about making more money for ESPN and the world series (which is fine and dandy, but IMO it'll end up hurting the excitement of a final table, no ones going to want to wait 4 months for the conclusion of the main event)

Bah the main event is lame anyhow. I would rather watch 9 real pros sit and play for a cheeze burger then watch 9 lucky hacks play for a couple mil. IMO Chris Moneymaker ruined poker.

I hear ya, it was catching on anyhow. But i think you know what i mean too, I would rather watch a field of 200 pro's then watch what is now a circus of 5000+ amateurs. That or i have always thought that the pro's should get a free pass into like the 3rd day or something, I dont know, guess i am just rambling.

Well, Raymer wasnt a pro at the time but he had played in 3 WSOP tourneys before he won. That is at least more than the other guys had played in before they won. And Raymer is still better than the others. But I have quit watching because they take so long to show on ESPN.

^ I would like something like that. I guess its not unfair, but i hate to see a good pro, or a favorite pro get knocked out day 1 to some schmuck playing dumb, just because he is in a hand with a big name pro and just trying to knock him out.
