Default Would you buy one?

So I'm wondering, you think Toyota will ever put out a bike? Seems like they could make a bike as reliable as the Honda, I wonder why we don't see sportbikes with the Toyota logo on them?

Would you buy one?

At 1st No - but it would depend on performance, style, and other factors. The name alone with that interest me. I like Suzuki bikes, but not cars.

I have not been a fan of Toyota since they did away with the Supra TT. But like mannyrios said there would be several factors.

I don't think they would start from scratch. But I could see them buying a bike manufacturer if they decide there's a lot of potential for the motorcycle market to grow, particularly in Asia as more people there get rich enough to upgrade from bicycles to motorcycles. If they acquired a Japanese company that has a valuable brand name, they would keep making the bikes under the old name. But if it were a Korean or Chinese company, they might decide to use the Toyota nameplate.

I think everyone would be interested to see a sportbike with the Toyota name on it.

And actually, if they continue with tradition, they'd recruit designers and engineers from current manufacturers. Toyota could make a sweet bike, I think. Their introduction of potentially less costly sportbikes with the same features as more expensive coutnerparts could reduce the entire markets selling prices.

Maybe if they did we could buy a brand new600RR for under $5000K. Maybe... ?

They would have to put a couple of years worth of bikes before I would think about it. Any reliability issues would be resolved then.

^ I agree with cwmc29... I'd have to wait a few years and then see what their reputation was. It's hard to beat a honda motorcycle for quality.

True...

But could you imagine a sweet sportbike with a 50K mile warranty?!? Haha, it could be sweet.

There is potential, I should sell them on the idea
