If you're a buyer paypal is a nice thing. If you're a seller then paypal sux. Fee for this fee for that. Peeps think because you're listing on e-bay that you're making money -- not after all the BS fees[:@]
Having said that -- I wouldn't buy anything from a seller that didn't have a good rating.
And we ain't debating the 2nd amendment.

RE: Will you not buy off ebay if the seller doesnt accept paypal?
I never buy ANYTHING from someone on eBay without paypal just because I want it when I buy it. I remember when I first started using ebay I had to go to the grocery store, buy a money order, mail it, wait 2 weeks for the seller to say they got it and cashed it, then wait 2 more weeks just to get it... I can't imagine dealing with that any more. Now I buy it at 12 oclock at night on Sunday, pay for it at 12:01 and have it at my front door by Tuesday. It doesn't get much better than that.
Another thing, paypal will help you resolve any issues between buyer and seller. If someone is ripped off, and paypal agrees that the deal was not completed, paypal will reimburse a percentage of your money. It's not much, lets say 40%, but on $1000 that's worth it. On $40 not so much a big deal, but when you make several purchases a month that can all add up. I spend at least a hundred bucks a month on ebay, usually more, and I'm sure there are tons of people out there just like me. I'm even more sure there are people who buy and sell in literally thousands of dollars so for them it still must be worthwhile since they all offer paypal.
