I dunno ... to me life is just too short to worry about finger prints on the visor. If you have small children you soon realize that keeping anything pristine is impossible Bird poop and bug guts are my helmet's nemisis But the raccoon comparison is priceless Unless my wifey is reading this in which case it's totally bogus ...

Happens to me ALL the time and the funny thing is its EXACTLY how you described "Oh you ride a motorcycle?" "Sweet Helmet" and they then just pick it up if it sitting there and rubs there slimy fingerprinting hands all over it or they ask you to see it and you being nice you allow them... but even more than the prints...i HATE it when people PUT MY HELMET ON!!! it MY Brain bucket NOT theirs and their gross hair or oily face. Damn **** pisses me off.

Just leave it lying around with dead bugs on it...wash it right before the next ride. Most people are too squeamish to play with it when its coated with the last wave of insectoid road pizza.

Just wait til you have kids. They leave the helmet alone cause it's in the garage. But my boots must have kid magnets in them. They will wear them around the house. Get ready to leave and God only knows where 1 boot is. Or worse yet, as toddlers they all seemed to go through a stage where they put stuff in my boots. The toys are a pain but the worst thing was a half-eaten banana. Put my foot in and SQUOOOOOOSH So pardon me if I'm not too sympathetic about a finger print on a helmet But this is a great thread ...
