They get the better motorcycle color schemes and now this..........

The New Mazda 6 for example...........the European one is MUCH classier and overall better looking that the one over here. The front has VERY well designed headlamps as well as tail lamps that scream attention to detail. Meanwhile, in the US, we get a much more watered down, "traditional" looking headlamp/taillamp package. WHAT GIVES? Why do the European models always get the cooler stuff?

I and you think it looks way cooler .. but U.S. sales indicate American buyers are way more conservative when it comes to designs and actual departing with money. On questionnaires it may show they like it but for whatever reason the majority buy the uglier ones. At least that's the conclusion I've come to after asking the same question. A few manufacturers tried cooler designs in the 80's but they had minimal sales here as compared with elsewhere.

^^ I agree, but don't understand why. Damn US buyers messing up the stats.

I found another example. The Ford Focus. I HATE Ford's, but the European models are so much better looking (and get rave reviews too)

Don't try to make sense out of it, it'll only hurt your head .. I tried and gave up. Decades of sales show it doesn't look like it's going to change ... but I will say that I think as far as mid range sales go they did a pretty damn good job with the '09 Maxima for the U.S. market for a change. It has the look of cars in the next class up:
