Why 600RR as opposed to a 1000RR?
I am very curious to know whydid you pick the CBR600RR as opposed to the 1000RR?? (Please don't respond if it is because it's your first bike or the insurance was lower or it was cheaper) Did you have the option to pick the 1000RR instead? Was there something extraordinary about the 600 that made you purchase it as opposed to the 1000? I'm hearing all different reasons for the 600 pick and am curious as to your response as this is exclusively a CBR Forum

Eric....Why aren't you content with just having the 600?? What's the reasoning for upgrading to the 1000?? Please don't think I'm weird, This has to do with my latest purchase and a new offer! I find the 600 pretty smooth and powerful just not too much torque in the get-go!

I love the handling of the 600, but when I feel like getting on it, it is real sluggish taking off. It just bogs down. Plus when I go on my weekend trips to the mountains I want that power of going up the hills with no problem. I guess it's just that "boys with toys" syndrome.

I just took it to work this morning and,let me tell you, there was nothing sluggish about my CBR600RR!! I finally broke it in a couple of days ago and had this thing from 0-140 mph in seconds flat! This is the quickest bike I've owned yet and I've owned quite a few! I now know that this is definitely fast enough for me for this terrain. If I lived in AZ or NV or one of those states with wide open roads for hours ,then maybe ,just maybe I would consider a 1000RR. I definitely can't picture me needing anything quicker with the kind of riding here on Long Island, NY!

Hmmmm, guess once you experience power ... you get addicted. I mean if a stock 600 was powerful enough there would be no PCIII's or aftermarket exhausts or K&N/BMC filters, etc. It's the age old arguement "how much is too much?" Really all depends on who ya talk to.
