Royal wedding here have always been a big deal. Woman's magazines having been running all the usual tripe even before it was announced officially. Prince ***** was here (maybe still here) visiting areas that had been devastated by floods recently. Seems like he is an ok sort of person, but I don't really agree with the monarchy (bring on the republic).
Whats really amazed me is the death of Liz Taylor. 10 years ago it would have been front page news, now its only a small piece in the paper.

It's rather sad about her, and I think it should have gotten much more coverage, but, like someone else said, it's all about ratings.
