Who's buying a PS3?
PS3= Waste of money. I heard Blueray wont last. I dont know sh*t about the video game console, but a guy who I used to work with did and he said he did not like it. Thats his opinion, I understand that, but he seems to know what hes talking about.
Someone once told me that once a game has been played in your PS3 it wont work in any other ps3 console. I dont know how that'd work and told him he was full of sh%#. Hope he's wong. Can anyone shed some light?
That is rediculous. The consuming public will stand for a lot, but if you have to buy a new game for every console you play?...and what about the video game rental business?...they wouldn't be able to rent a game more than once. I would think Sony and Microsoft get a piece of that rental business in game/console rights as well. I'm not gonna say that person that told you that is stupid because I don't want it to turn out to be your mom, or best friend, or something, but I would ask for proof.
There are people here (in Orlando) that have been campingoutside the stores since last night at 9 o'clock. RIDICULOUS!!! There are about 40 people outside Best Buy, 100 outside Walmart and about 30 outside Target. Thats a little to diehard for me.
My friend is in line right now. He is going to get it and I'm going to sell in on ebay on my account. There are a bunch of rules for selling them. I can't believe people would pay that kind of money just to play it before everyone else...
from what i heard on the ps3 the blu ray discs can only be played 2 times. then they are no longer useable.. good thing about it though is that it gets transfered to your console hd. i will try to find where i read that .... so i guess with 2 times once for your console and once for a buddies. so split the price of the games amongst both of you (because $80 for a game is crazy)
The PS3 are selling for about $1600, but i dont think they have exceeded $1800. Theres already camper in Austin since yesterday after noon, thats funny...anyways if any of ya'll that live close to san marcos TX and want a PS3 you might have a chance and buy one cause all the town is made up nothing but college ppl and you know college ppl...WE ARE BROKE!!!..hahaha
Wow, some of you guys have been seriously misinformed...
The PS3 games will play like any other systems games, sheesh.
Blu-Ray DVD's hold a ton more data than DVD's or their competition HD-DVD's. The upcoming format war is between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD's. Both are capable of recording games and movies in the highest HD resolution, 1080. Sony and a few other companies want to go with Blu-Ray while others like Toshiba want HD-DVD to be the new format. It will be like VHS vs Beta back in the day, obviously VHS ultimately won. I think they are both not going to be too popular. People just converted from VHS to DVD and have no reason to start buying BR or HD-DVD since most homes still dont have a HD-TV. But, eventually people will start to switch to one or the other. A major plus for PS3 is the BR player built in, which is also why it is so expensive. The 360 will eventually come out with an external HD-DVD attachment so it will also play HD movies some time soon.
EDIT:: Just for the sake of info, DVD's currently, i think, only record at a max of 580 resolution. BR and HD-DVD will both be much prettier. They are equivelent to the HD channels on your TV if you are in on that.
