That 250 is one hell of a machine too, but the 500 has been a dream coming true. I't has hard work trying to find one with the engine overhauled and in good condition for cheap.

Now, the fun begins

I'm actually kinda suprised nobody knows it...

I knew, I was just too late. You need to run that on the ice!

It's hard to imagine the freakin snap it gives, imagine being pulled by a 1000 in high revs holding on to a rope and in a skate board...it's kinda like that. You have to be REALLY alert all the time.

Hey you could always use it to practice , if you can handle the 250, the 500 "shouldn't" be that hard.

Serious? Ok, the stroke refers to the number of movements of the piston - 2st= up,compresses, explosion:down, new gas
4st= 1 compression stroke and 1 exhaust stoke. Each is followed by a return stroke. The compression stroke compresses the fuel air mixture prior to the gas explosion. The exhaust stroke simply pushes the burnt gases out the exhaust.

What this mean (among other things) is that the power delivery is much smoother on a 4stroke and with a pretty linear delivery
Not so much on the 2stroke it basically gives all she's got at once, it's pure adrenaline

I had an XR250, but I used to ride really tight trails. Thats all we have here. Some people had the 2 stroke 250's but they had a hard time riding.

That CR has to be a freaking animal. I've never ridden anything above a 250.

My bad, misinterpred what you wrote.
That Aprilia was a Rs250? Really nice piece of machine, we used to spend our days playing with them and the RGV250... man, you could literally throw them to the apex and they would stick to it and leave the corner ****ting flames. Nice youth that I had Now, the part that you smoke me...well, you could try

Yes it freakin his. I have almost 20 years of riding under my belt and she still remains one of my loved ones. It gives me goose bumps and a cold chill up my spine when that cylinder comes alive slapping like a *****.....! The tight stuff is really not her habitat but it's doable in the right hands...
