When do i put my bike up for winter?
just that, when is the best time to put my bike up for the winter? I don't mind the cold, but does it hurt the bike at all to drive it in the cold? I'm not going to be driving it in the middle of december or anything, but until they started salting the roads and what not? any help would be appreciated... thanks!
Well, usually when the first batch on snow arrives is when I retire the bike for the winter. Here in Ohio that usually means around November or so. I've been out when it was about 38 degrees or so and I made out just fine. Just dress in layers...

yeah i live in northern illinois so first snow huh?
here in california you even see ppl riding in the rain. usually as long as the roads are dry ill still be riding cold is ok just i hate the rain. beautiful to watch and sit @ home but if you have to be out in it it sucks big ! lol
Here in Georgia it doesn't get that cold. For you I would say to maybe put it up when you feel uncomfortable on the bike. I have seen people ride in snow, not my idea of fun, but I've seen it.
Usually when we get our first snow. Oh yeah, thats right I live in Florida. I guess I'll ride year round. Oooooh IN YOUR FACE!!!!!!!!!!![sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]
I live in the midwest (St. Louis) and I ride year round... just not when there could be ice or if there is salt down. If I didn't, I'd go stir crazy waiting for Spring.
