Whats with the liter bikes?

RE: Whats with the liter bikes?
I kind of have a secret hatred for liter-bikes. Not the bikes themselves, but rather the people who ride them. Just about every jackass rider I've met always seem to have a liter-bike. That's not saying I haven't met jackasses on 600's and other bikes too.........but it just seems like there is a lot more on liter-bikes.

RE: Whats with the liter bikes?
The only reason I would want something bigger than a 600 is just the fact that 1k's and bigger are physically bigger and more comfortable. I never do track days, but I do drag quite a bit so the next thing I get will most likely be bigger than a 1k. But whether its a 600, 1k or larger I still ride them all the same on the street.
Now if I didn't live in NJ I'd definitly want to get more into doing tracks days and twisties.

RE: Whats with the liter bikes?
ehh, just run what u brung imo. yeah, not everybody that has a 1krr can ride it to its full potential and so what? if u were really riding your 600 to its full potential all the time then u should honestly be on a track doing so instead of out in the streets. i love my 1krr (except the whole stator issue crap [:@]) and i know i have learned alot on it, maybe not as much as i would have if i started out on a smaller bike but alot none the less. the people that buy liter bikes just cause they want to go fast or want to have the biggest baddest bike are the same people that i tend to buy my parts from on ebay for cheap for after they crash so i say let em do what they do.

Seriously... I rarely ride with someone with an R-1 or 1000RR or Gixxer that can actually handle it. I know, I know...bigger is better, they sound bitchin, and they may have bragging rights... guess thats why I took my 600RR stickers off my tail. Pulled into a station for gas and the usual bothersome situation happened that I always dread... three of the attendants come over, oohh and aaaahh'in and sayin they cant wait to get a bike when they turn 18...and its got to be a 1000. "dude, how fast does this go?" Forgive me guys, I am getting old I guess. You should see the change in their faces when I drop the bomb..."its only a 600RR brutha.."
