Ah ok so I did that too. The motorcycle safety course thing....sure sure, I did that so I could get my permit at 16. It was required in Maine at the time to get your permit at 16......
i had never ridden before and the msf course was great, plus all i had to do was take my completion certificate to the driver's license office and they gave me my license with no test. it cost $185
I had none. I did the friction zone in the drive way a few times to get use it, then out I went. Took to it like a fish to water. Then a few months later I did the MSF course, but the course was great. I learned a lot!
i learned the basics on my dads cb750 when i was 14, come to think of it, thats also how i learned how to drive a standard. oww the shins! before that there wasnt really anything, never been on a dirt bike.
I rode the hell out of a JR 80 for a couple of years, then I rode a pocketbike for 2 years, then up to my 600RR. Im nowhere near to pushing the limits of the bike, nor myself for that matter, but it is still SOOOO much fun. Glad I decided to take the jump.
