+1 same here.... I hate being on the road on new years eve (at least towards the end of the day). Our local sportbike forum is having a new years party like we do every year, I 'might' go over there cuz I can stay the night... we'll see. The new years party last year turned into a huge orgy [8D]

j/k.... Actually heading over to the "Club" for a New Years Bash- it's right down the street. I'll be the only one without a date and not drinking, so guess who's driving?!? LOL

I spent a lot of my 20s out partying with friends ..New Years Eve we always did something or went out somewhere, the trouble was getting home ... you had to spend the night wherever or walk as we often did at 2am in the morning, taxis are just about impossible to get ... it all becomes less fun as you get older and the times I have been out lately by the time it gets late on all I can think about is my comfy bed ..lol
So, we will be cosied up in the cottage this year with the tv, music and conversation ... leave the rest of the world to party itself to oblivion .. I just cant do that anymore ..lol
There is no place like home!!
Oh and for all you young party animals who would rather die than stay in on New Years Eve, trust me it will happen to you too
Now wheres my comfy slippers ..lol

Me , well we are staying home and trying not to get hammered ...just relax and as Jules said , let the rest of the world go crazzy and wake up feeling like they want to die
We can see a few different annually run new years fire works from our back upstairs deck that does me and the misses just fine these days..
BTW- the cops are bloody murder here at New Year... another very good reason for me not to go out ....
