some guy was saying that the 01-03 f4i was a detuned 600. and i was saying that it was hondas super sport that competed with the gsxrs and r6's.
but im new to the bike world, so what what are the actual performance differences?

lol^^^nauree is always to the point. i heard they detuned in 04-06 after the rr came out but im not sure. i dont even remember where i heard it so it could be total bull****.

Its not detuned. The F4i was honda's top 600. It was replaced with the 600RR, Just as the F4i replaced the F4 which replaced the F3... and so on..but they kept making it after the intro of 600RR as some people wanted a bike that wasnt as track oriented as the 600RR.

The RR has newer technologylike inverted forksthat the F4i doesn't have. The motor is the same size, but different in every other way.If the F4i wasn't detuned in any way it way to make it emissionslegal, not to make it different from the F4i.
As far as performance, an RR will get around a track faster than an f4i, but in day to day use, the difference is minimal and the f4i is more comfortable.
The big difference is even though RRs are better looking,guys with F4is get laid more. My buddy has a 1000RR and his wife is an ice queen, whereas, my girlfriend is always horny.
