I drop Matilda off at the shop, almost have a wreck and come home and the thread has grown 2 pages. WTF. LOL

the progress report is this...i dropped Matilda off this am, he said hed have her ready by friday evening but im out of town till sat, i didnt realize my front tire was so bad till i got to the shop and the guy goes your riding on this? i said i was, he goes get a new one ASAP. He cut me too good of a deal to pass up. He said if id buy the new tire from him hed give me 15% off and mount it for free. so i got a new tire for 100+tax installed for free, the mechanic listened to her run and said yes she needs a good thorough carb cleaning so when i get her back on sat im gonna clean her up good if i have time before work. that reminds me i have to order carb gaskets....but anyways all looks good and he said i should get out for around 400 including the tire. i dont think thats too bad myself. ill have pics later today....as a matter of fact ill go out to the truck right now and get the cam. After dropping the bike off and marinating at the house for a bit i was running late to meet my mom for lunch and almost wrecked my truck big time. Double S curve, light sprinkle so all the oil,grease, and rubber was on top of the road, not paying attn, looked down at the speedo going into the corner saw 60 MPH and said CHIT!! right at the Apex the rear end stepped out and i was really screaming CHIT CHIT CHIT, luckily i was already off the gas and cut the wheel to the left hard then back to the right, got her straightened out pretty quick, barley went over the double yellow but thankfully no one was coming, tree's on either side of the road. wouldnt of been good if i did loose it. after that i slowed wayyyyyyy down, ill be late and arrive in one piece. LOL

 

Well, the thread was lovely but since it has gotten jacked beyond repair I'm callin it ... time of death: 15:36 EDT ... may it rest in peace

 

And just to clear up any misunderstandings:

Only shutting it down to maintain a consistency of keeping threads on topic. Insomniac/Boredom Thread is the place to go random thought and oddity inspired. Truth is I shoulda shut this one down a while ago but honestly it was very entertaining
