ORIGINAL: Hayden06F4i

i heard that the exo1000 is a heavy f-er compared to the 400 and 700.
I guess you heard wrong. I put them on side by side with a few Arai's and Shoei's and it's right up there with the Shoei RF-1000 for light weight. I don't think it's carbon fiber but it's some other similar composite. Feels almost half as heavy as my exo400.

heres a quote from a motorcycle review about the EXO-1000. thats what deterred me in addition to the guy at Sportbike track gear saying dont get it its a heavy beast.

document.write(");

"Lastly, something that seems to plague price-point lids is weight, and the 1000 is a rather hefty unit. Published figures have it coming in around 4 pounds. No doubt the extra gadgetry of the HelmetPump and SpeedView contribute to the weight, as well as the larger shell that's needed to accommodate those two features."

Yea the exo1000 is heavier then the 700. There both fiberglass and something else. I just had mine on for a solid 2-3hrs and its a bit noisy but so comfortable, and the ventilation is just ridiculous no sweat.

Only two people here with AGV's? I'm shocked. They're often overlooked.
