i just got back from a little ride, through metairie, and i had the pleasure of riding alongside the biggest idiot on the planet. so im at a traffic light, on the main drag through the city, about 4 cars from the front. im in the middle lane, and to my right, is a very ugly kid, and his 3 ugly friends, in a very ugly (and old) 4dr civic. he didnt rev his engine, he didnt start hooting and hollering about "lets race!!" but aparantly, he had it in his mind that we wee gonna.

light turns green, off we go.... im accelerating to maybe 5 over the speed limit, around 45. and oh look, hes still on side of me, pulling away, ok, no big deal, im letting him go and feel big. well, basically heres where it gets good... i see the car pull into his lane, a good bit down the road, but he doesnt, because hes busy giving me the " yeeeeeah, im definetely a seriously fast and furious kinda guy!" look. you know the one, where they keep alternating between looking at you, and the speedo, but never the road. well, this car in front of him has his left turn signal on and is starting to move towards making a lane change, when ths ugly kid finally sees him, maybe 15 feet away at a good 65mph, where he does the suicide swoop to try the other lane, my lane, which this car is now halfway in (oblivious to the jackass behind them) so ugly kid gets on the brakes,... HARD.... me,... not so hard was just fine. i swear i had pieces of his tire fly down my shirt and into my helmet.

had i not slowed down when i noticed the other car, i would have been where he swerved, and i would be slattered all over the road (very heavy traffic)

please excuse the choppy nature of this story, im still sorta jumpy from the whole thing, it happened in a matter of seconds.. i definetely do not appreciate idiot kids like this, who have no regard for other people and are just honestly too stupid to realize that heavy traffic is not the best place to drive like a moron. it just upsets me that i could easily have lost my life because of some kids jackass move.

 

i hate when cars try to race us. its just pointless. and its always some idiot who thinks his car will beat my bike and sometimes he has his g/f with him so he has to act like even more of an ******* ! you gotta love the look on the girls faces when her b/f loses and you pull along side of them and tap your seat and she smiles lol .. but on a serious note im glad that your ok and that no one got hurt by that reckless sob !

 

yea, thanks. most of the time, when there isnt much traffic, i'll humor them, but this was just the worst possible time to try to race anyone. there were also 2 others on a different road, revving engines and whatnot, one was a V6 mustang........ and the other was a lancer, not an evo, just the regular one. lol seriously guys, why do you want me to shame you so bad?

 

their just jealous , they wanna be on 2 wheels .. but they spent their money on a v6 mustang or on a lancer (no turbo, no awd) *SIGH* oh well atleast you were being responsible and didnt race but we all know whouldve won anyways

HAHAHA that's awesome man! I've got to try that once. But too bad I suck at racing probably and I'll lose to a grandma in her celebrity.

my move is to point at the boy friend and make the jerk-off gesture to the girl...f those guys...all there doing is making it more dangerous for us and cagers at the same time...btw...this always happens to me in the most strictly policed part of town...they don't really want to race they just want to show their *** for their girl who would rather be riding with me than in a spray painted civic with motegi specials from sears and a homemade tint job with bubble...oh yeah and the japanese writing stickers from autozone...posers

 

I think it would be a good idea to pretend you are going to race, then when the light turns, hesitate off the line...don't race at all. The guy can take off and you are rid of them...hopefully!

 

I hate that too....it seems like they think we can't get hurt on the bikes....!!!! Good thinking man...good way to use your Instincts and not race from the begining...it would of been worst......
