Default What do you get for $1200.....

Well I went shopping today and bought myself some gear....

First I picked up my racing suit
http://www.newenough.com/protective_...race_suit.html

And I knew I wanted some gauntlet gloves instead of my short ones so I bought
http://www.newenough.com/gloves/stre...le_gloves.html

I needed a new helmet too because my RF-1000 is too big, I originally wanted a Large but the salesman told me it was too big and made me get the XL

We negotiated price and finally got low enough so I told him put the helmet on there too

Grand total: $1240 with shipping and tax

I think I got a pretty good deal. =)
I'm a happy guy today!!! Well, I'll be even more happy next Wednesday when I get my stuff. heh

Let me know how the Alpinestars suit fits you...I'm in the process of ordering an Alpinestars RC-1 one piece and want to see how fitment goes on those. I'm about 6'2" and 245 and ordered a size 60 euro, 50 US

hey dwhite, just a heads up......

A* pants (atleast mine) stretched a good bit. i ordered a 32, and they fit SNUG when i got them, but now are slightly too big.

And their jackets (i have the MX-1) have long torso's. i couldnt go down a size or the armpit would be completely uncomfortable, and sleeves too short. yet, when im sitting on the bike, the jacket is kinda long and slightly bunched up.

Thanks for the info! I know that 1 piece suits usually fit different than pants or jackets though...I guess if it doesn't fit I'll make it fit!

Seriously a 60?! Dude I ordered a 54 and I'm about 6'1" 245ish lbs with a lil buddah belly action (for now). I was really confused on what to order I took my chest measurements and I was a 46 (I got some HUGE boobies! lol). A 46 was supposed to be about a 56 Euro I guess. I went to the shop today and I was in luck they had an A* jacket there in size 52, 54, 56 I tried on the 52 first and oh dear goodness I just laughed and had to get help taking it off. Then I tried on the 56 and it fit perfect. I threw on the 54 and it was a little tight but I'm losing weight, I've gained like 40 lbs in 2 years. lol I think a 60 is going to be huge on you man! Or the 54 is going to kill me and I'll have to go anorexic. heh

I get the gear in 2-3 days so hopefully by Wed it will be in for us to go pick up! I'm stoked!!!!!!!!

Good work SB...new gear kicks ***--er, well, and it can save your *** too [>:]

How low of a price did they go on the Arai (excellent choice, BTW)--was it better than these guys?

And I just ordered a pair of the SP-1's myself. Did you go one size bigger? Supposebbly Alpinestars are sized a little small--I'm waiting on an XL pair of the red ones...mmm, yeah, hope they fit--like a petite Italian model draped all over my hands...[sm=smiley16.gif]
