So I was at work today, digging up a electrical duct bank and....................



...................ok what moron put a water pipe in a electrical duct bank.............

Flooded duct bank?

doesn't look like too much water pressure.

BUT Electricity and water DO NOT MIX hope the power was pulled from teh duct before you started workking... otherwise it could have gotten ugly.

lol everything is on. I have to keep everything on till I finish, its for the downtown floodwall.....The awesome thing is NO ONE knows where it goes, we found the valve to turn it off, but the engineers dont know what it services. ....another day in paradise for the good ole ibew boys.

That's nothin! I punched a high pressure gas line with a backhoe once. That'll make you run like a scared girl!

Question is Why are you poking holes in the pipe?

I have hit gas lines a couple of times. They put them in the oddest places and rarely are they to code on depth. That high pressure whistle lets you know right away something is wrong[:@]

Seems like we get water in all our sewer lift station elect conduit all the time. between the snow and rain its hard to keep it out, the jell packing we use seems to get hard after awhile and let the moisture in [:@] when we dig near high preasure mains SW Gas always has a guy on site and he pot holes for the main himself then we dig for our stuff
