Umm, you guys need to know the history of our TV program in Japan. We all loved Kamen (masked) Rider way back

Normally it is C (Crazy or Crash) B (Bio) R(Radioactive or or Raishinzoku meaning their motorcycle/automobile gang in japan)

But the another theory is
C (Cyclone = Cyclone bike on Kamen Rider) B (Batta = Grasshopper) R (Rider)

Cyclone bike on Kamen Rider was always based on Suzuki. However many people started to get Suzuki and was getting in the accident , so Suzuki bike was considered to be hazard. Then Honda was able to become new Cyclone bike and all other action characters started to ride Honda.

Originally project manager wanted to use nuclear engine, but got scolding from Mr. Honda, so they ended up using racing pro engine

It still doesn't stand for anything. The post that stated "CB" meant inline 4 and R was the "racing" tag is as much an urban legend as "Cross Beam Racer" or "City Bike - Racer". Over the years, Honda has had a lot of lines starting with "C", such as C, CB, CD, CE, CL, CS, CM, CA, CR, CX, CJ. In 1959, the first American Honda dealership opened in L.A., the line up had the C100 Super Cub, CB92 Benly Super Sport 125, CA95 Benly Touring 150, CA71 Dream Touring 250, CE71 Dream Sport 250, and C76 Dream Touring 300. They all had similar engines and mounts and were all "City Bikes". And none of them was an inline 4.

According to Honda in Japan, it doesn't mean anything, or it means whatever you want it to.

I dug up more. Some people said CB came from Clubman race. Then there are people who say it was after CA , so named CB.

But this guy asked Honda's ex officer who used to know Mr. Soichiro Honda while he was alive said it just came from CB radio.

Since we all love CBR, little informations about our founder Soichiro Honda. I never actually looked him up and he is very impressive. I will post in another tread

HaHa, I tell people I'm from Paradise and many of them think I'm making some biblical reference. It's a VERY small town northwest of DFW, population around 250. We have very few urban legends 'cause there's no URBAN here. Lots of cows, though (and some twisty roads!!)
