So I'm out riding earlier to get some fuel and return a couple of movies. Going down the highway about 75 or so, when all the sudden out of the blue comes this kid on a gixxer going at least 95 maybe 100. He was wearing some khaki shorts a t-shirt and some SANDALS and no helmet. As he passes he gives the thumbs up sign. It seems like every one in my town of 250,000 people who is on a gixxer is a squid. Always under 21 and never wearing any kind of riding gear, not even a pair of jeans. So what is it about gixxers that attract young kids with no more sense than they had when they were 16? Thanks.

I was the one givin ya thumbs up on my 750. But really I think the reason first time riders pick zuks is because of the way they look these days. I'd much rather have an 04-07 Honda bu hey, I'm gonnaride red till it kills me.

 

Suzuki has always been easier to get financed with when you are young and have no credit.. .

 

It's only in your mind, they are not squid bikes and if you ever ride one you'll find that their actually good bikes.

 

I always hear them say gixxers are more powerful than any of the usual bikes you see. So.....power + kid = squid.

 

Uneducated, inexperienced, fast riders are dangerous no matter the brand of bike.

 

+1...a squid could be on a honda, suzuki, kawasaki, ducati etc etc...(i love honda, but theres absolutely nothing wrong with those other bikes)

 

They are popular because everyone knows the name "gixxer" and most people that have no knowledge of bikes, everytime they see a bike they will say "there goes a gixxer"...Because its just a popular POS bike thats very easy to finance. Funny thing is my ole lady can out ride MOST of those squids on their Gixxer 1000's and she rides her F4i. IMagine how fuxin funny it is to see a kid on a gixxer "try" to keep up with a girl on an F4i....Gixxers are like azzholes, everybody has one.....Better known as the Slozuki FSXR (Fixxer)...Because when u crash the biatch, you cant rebuild it like you can a REAL Honda.....=-)

 

But Honda's do -5 to Squidness. -6 Squidness allow you to use leather armor. So the dude jsut needs to level up once instead of 6 times to use leather armor.
