Well.... rough road ahead
I just got home from the hospital after playing chicken with a car and losing of course. I would post pics of the before and after but those will have to come later once i track them down.
Long story short, I was puttin along at the posted speed (really was) and this crazy ol broad jumps out in front of me to go across 3 lanes into her driveway. She panics, hesitates, and poof. So here I am 5 days later getting home from the hospital with a heavily bruised face and/or ego, a gouge from my right arm and a dislocated shoulder and damaged rotator cuff but I guess I am still here to talk about it.
If there is anyone out there that knows of a comfortable position to sleep in then please let me know cuz night 1 was not very comfy.
I will post pics when i get them. God i miss my baby and i think that will be the worst part about this whole thing.
Safe riding everyone.

The most important thing is your here to tell the tale FadetoBlack , you'll recover and live to ride another day .
Thats the risk we all take , no matter how carfull you ride there's always that old lady/old man/idiot/drunk/half asleep person who's ready willin' 'n' able to wipe you out at moments notice.
Take it easy and get well soon.

you have bruising on your face? what kind of gear did you have on?
whenever I am injured, I usually like to take 2-3 painkillers and wash them down with either a few beers or a couple of good whiskey and cokes. usually allows me to get a few hours good sleep. doesnt put you out for the entire night, but you do get some solid rest for a few hours.

He probably has a bruised face because the lady got out of her car and hit him with the cellphone she was still talking on, trying to blame the accident on him...since, you know, it's always the motorcyclist that causes crashes...
But otherwise, I could see how helmet padding would bruise your face during an impact. I'll take bruising over crushing any day. Gear is my best friend.
