I can see where the attachment comes from, I've only had mine for 350 miles, cause I only got to ride it a week before the season ended, and you'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands, I might get a faster second bike for the track, but no bike can replace it.

Man....I'll tell you what. I just bought mine wrecked, and almost have her done, and Im attached, and I havent driven it more than a foot at a time in my garage. I can only imagine what 177k feels like. They are a very addicting bike for sure! You've inspired me to keep great care of her and take her everywhere!!!! Good Luck!!

Well guys.... I haven't really kept anyone up to date on exactly what I've been up to lately. I don't want to spill the beans just yet (that'll be posted later), but lets just say I've just completed some MAJOR surgery on my bike. It won't be long now, she should be back on the road in the next couple of days!

As for me.... I'm quite possibly the happiest guy alive after what you see in this video. I know it doesn't seem like much, but after I post up my massive rebuild thread with pictures, it'll all make perfect sense

Good job!

Any way we can convince ya to post your exact maintenance schedule? So we can all learn how to have a bike go 177k, take a bad hit and still come back strong.

i am very attached to my bike as well ( same year and color as yours with a whooooooole lot of miles left in her )
i'm so exited to know the bike will be back on the road soon with its soul mate.

Yup... back on the road as of today!! Finally got her all put back together late afternoon, headed out about 5pm or so, and well.... I just walked in the door at 12:45 am, lol. Didn't spend the entire time out riding, I met up with a buddy and we hung out for a bit and got a pizza. But I did log 110 miles... she ran flawlessly and pulls like a damn freight train, lol. It felt soooo good to finally ride again. In the 5 years I've had my bike, this is by far the longest I've ever gone without it... and it was awful. I was grinning from ear to ear all day today

200,000 miles, here we come!!
