WATER SPOTS! AHHH!!!
I'm so upset with myself. yesterday i washed my bike and i completely skipped over drying it with a big beach towel afterwards like i always do. i was running late and i just threw it back in the garage after i was done to let it air dry. big mistake. i just brought it outside and there is a million water spots all over it. disgusting. plus i live in like the worst area for clean water. swamp land north carolina. wax helped a little bit but there is still a lot of spots. i'm gonna wash it again and dry it this time and hopefully that gets rid of the spots. that, and some polish. just so damn stupid how much more work i just created for myself now. who else has done this? did washing it again get the spots out?
yea, once you wash it again, they should go away, unless it is very hard water, in that case a good polish job will remove them...dont worry too much about it, they wont last long
I never use water on my RR i always use MAGIC ELIXIR and have never been let down yet the results are amazing followed by some Turtle Wax and a buffer see attached photo.

OMG!!! How can you ruin your bike by putting a yankees logo on it?!?!?!
yah i'm a little calmer now. i was just out riding and when i got back i polished up some of it and they were coming off easier. after it cools down i'm gonna go back outside and polish up all the plastic instead of washing it all again. its already dry i'll just polish and wax out the waterspots. thanks for the input though. i'm just super **** on keeping my bike clean. plus its black and its harder to keep clean. adios.
I use a leaf blower to knock most of the water off, then start it up and let it run followed be a trip around the block to bounce any hidden water off.
And finish off with Honda polish.
And finish off with Honda polish.
Don't wash your bike in direct sunlight, and don't wash it when the plastic is warm to the touch. This will make the water spots worse. Wash in the shade.... I also use a leaf blower to dry my bike. It gives me another excuse to wantonly use gasoline.
