w/ cold weather coming
....just a reminder to remember that your tires wont be as warm, nor will the road. i recall last winter ALOT of lowsides from tires not being warm and cold pavement. so as the cold weather sets in, just a reminder for everyone to keep that in mind.
Cold weather, thats what bike stands and a bike cover is for
Ok Jay, i dont want to ruin your thread in the first post lol. Anyhow you are spot on, definatly check your air pressures again as well now that the temps have dipped, most are going to lose a few lbs. Dont forget about more road debris also, leaves are slippery. Be safe everyone.

its 15 miles to the Fort, roughly 100 miles to the Loop, so I know my tires are warm by then. Definately right about the roads tho. And lets not forget salt n sand being used on the roads by the DOTs.
^ get a balaclava (sp?). they're awesome! w/ that and the right gloves, cold weather riding isnt as bad. they really make a difference. they should have them at your local sporting goods store.

Makes a world of difference! I'm actually going out to Cycle Gear today probably to get a new Balaclava and a Turtle Fur head sock. Some little critters ate through both of mine while they sat this past summer [:@] That and heated grips, along with some good cold weathergear, and you'll be toasty warm in the winter. My lowest last winter was 12 degrees F with the windchill.... I was a little chilly, but no big deal really. Rode 35 miles to work (highway).... no probs
