I have to agree with TheX. I am humored by the defense his lawyers are presenting to the media. I'm sure they are paid hundreds of dollars an hour and I could have come up with the same predictable/pathetic defense for $5.

Hey , X. I like you, I've enjoyed your posts, BUT, you cost me almost two hours of work today when I had to END TASK on my Mozilla browser when your little stunt post locked me up when I was in the middle of an unsaved spreadsheet at work. This is not the way to endear yourself to fellow members.

THATS PROBELY THE DUMBEST THING THE LEAGUE COULD HAVE DONE! PUNISH HIS POCKETS, NOT HIS CARRER. EVEN THO IM A COWBAYS SUPERFAN, VICK IS STILL ONE OF THE GREATER QBS (ALL AROUND). THATS GOING TO HURT THE FALCONS BADLY, THERE IS GOING TO BE MANY MORE EMPTY SEATS IN THE STADIUM AND I HATE TO SAY IT. BUT I REALLY DO THINK THAT HE STILL MIGHT GET BACK INTO THE LEAGUE, AND THEY ARE GOING TO PAY HIM BECUZ OF WHAT HE CAN DO ON THE FIELD!

Nope not searching at all BMG .. Arthur Blank hasn't been at the helm too long and I think he's taken and taking them the right direction. Granted they don't have the history the Steelers do but NFL no longer really has dynasties and things change drastically for teams every year. Our Braves our a prime example; they sucked out loud for years until new ownership and *** had a few years to get things going in the right direction. Falcons are on the right path .. and I don't know how you can judge much else about them since they have a new coach this year and many new players. They did already lose D.J. Shockley to injury as quarterback replacement so yes a lot is up in the air right now but I don't think the loss of Vick is that crushing really since their defense was just fine last year and the offense wasn't up to par so losing him might actually be a benefit .. better focus instead of all on one person now.

I'm sure Vick will play somewhere one way or another in the future .. If NFL doesn't let him play he'll go play Canadian or European league until they allow him back like so many before him have done .. domestic abuse charges, murder charges, whatever .. they've all come back to play. The public here has short term memories and in a few years they'll all want him back on their teams ... watch and see; they say hell no now but if he's playing at a caliber that can help their teams in a few years they'll shove all that other stuff under the rug.
There are still "dynasties"...I'd say the Pats were the last team to be a real dynasty.

No corn row thugs there either.

But I get what you mean bro.

I'm mostly just giving you a well meant hard time about your team.

Back to Vick...

He is obviously an evil, and disturbed person.

If this were 1875, I'd just shoot his sorry ***, and ride off into the sunset.

Sorry about that, it didn't lock my browser up at all. I never meant to hijack anyone.

Apologies to all that got jacked by that page, it seemed totally harmless.

Look at the 3 most succesful teams in history.

The Steelers...Cowboys and 49'ers.

See any corn row thugs in there?

Nope.

PS Bam Morris, Santonio Holmes, Barrett Brooks, Greg Lloyd
DC Michael Irvin, Nate Newton, Dwayne Goodrich, Barry Switzer
SF Antonio Bryant, OJ Simpson

All teams in all sports have players with "issues."

Just to be fair, I'm a Boston/Arizona fan, so feel free to make a list, take your shots, and rip those players too if you want. Heck, as much I thought Larry Bird was the greatest all-around player ever ('til Jordan) I lost so much respect for him after I read how much he blew off his daughter from his first marriage.

Bam had problems AFTER...he left the Steelers.

Holmes did not win the SB...was last years draft...and imo...a bust. (Steelers won their last SB in 05...not 06)

Micheal Irvin was at the end of his career, and it was after he got into the drug and thug lifestyle that the Cowboys stopped winnng.

You made no valid examples or points.

Feel free to try again.

For the record, the Steelers don't draft, keep, or tolerate thug, gangsta players.

They have had some great players, who after leaving had their problems, but that's why they were gone in the first place.

The NFL is not a street fight...it's a chess match with the great teams having players with the mental capacity to devote themselves to
the team, physically, mentally, socially.

You want to watch garbage sports, try the WWF...maybe the NBA these days.
