Default Very cool site...

www.hulu.com

Think high-quality tv show and movies with 3 commercials per opisode.

I'm using it to watch the first few episodes of Jericho. I missed it when it first came out.

Like YouTube, but the videos are high-quality and not user-submitted.

Most of those sites don't last long for whatever reason (about 3 mo's on avg. from what i've noticed) ... hulu is good but Surf is > than hulu imo.

Well, how is their licensing done is the main issue. More and more industrial complexes have been moving to digital means of distribution, legal and free distribution at that. Take Qtrax for example. It was only a matter of time before the industries began to embrace the technology, but I think some of these new legit sites are going to make out very well. I had heard Hulu had officially opened to the public and was done beta testing, if I remember correctly that is, but had yet to check it out. This will be a good thing seeing as how Stage6 just threw in the towel not too long ago.

Hulu just went public 3 days ago.

They will be the next big video site, mark my words (here that, day traders?)

They're licsensing rights are purchased and paid for by advertisements. It's not rocket science. For a 30 minute video you'll have 3 commercials 30 seconds or shorter.

It wil be around folks, very cool site and good idea. I found out about it from G4 where the CEO of Hulu.com was being interviewed.

That's how imeem and qtrax stay in business, they share the ad revenue with the industry big guns. I'm very glad to see the recent shifts in the distribution methods. I guess the major hurdles with DRM are finally over.
