I'm big into hard rock/metal, not a fan of rap/r&b or really much soft stuff. But here are a few bands that people either have never heard of or don't get a lot of play.

I know some of these are actually well known, but they don't get a lot of air play (at least around me). And especially Nonpoint, everytime they play a local show it's sold out, but I NEVER heard a song of theirs on the radio. Like always, popular music rules and I really don't like it much

 

^ Flaw is the ****. Actually listening to them right now. I got to shake the guitarist hand while crowd surfing once, it was awesome.

Eh....I'm too lazy to think of who I like that should be popular, I listen to way too much for that.

 

I saw Nonpoint open for Sevendust last fall. We had balcony seats and after their set they came up there to watch Sevendust perform, ended up hanging out with them the rest of the night. Was pretty sweet!

 

+1 on flaw. also Red is an awesome band
