short of taking the MSF as mentioned above, I'd find the biggest empty parking lot you can and do a lot of starting, stopping, turning, exercises there.
Hell, even with a good bit of experience, I like to shake the rust off at a nearby church's parking lot making circles around the light poles until everything feels "right" again.
when in doubt or blowing wide in a corner, Lean harder, and leave the brake alone. If you're not dragging peg yet, you have lean angle left - just ask these guys:

As already mentioned take the MSF course.Most places will let you learn on their bike.If you crash on their bike then oh well.I have taught my kids on an empty parking lot.First in 1st gear learning the throttle and brakes then shift into 2nd to get used to shifting.Take your time,if you lived closer to me I would help you.Good luck and take it easy.
