Default Two bikes at once?

Hey there guys,

I have a conundrum...(don't know how to spell it)

I really really want to keep both of my CBRs on the road, but I can't decide wither money will allow me too.

See the point is that I commute to work daily, and it's close (7 miles each way) but I really want to keep my 125 for the work runs and quick out and about and keep the 600 for the better summer rides, cruising etc.

I'm 17 almost 18 and I want to keep both of my bikes but I'm not sure if I can afford it.

Pro's of two bikes -
- 2 bikes!!!
- 2 forms of transport ( breakdown use other etc..)
- cheaper runs on 125 (115 MPG)
- keep 600 looking newer for longer
- keep 600 resaleability

Con's of two bikes -
- Cost of 2 X insurance
- 2 X cost of MOT, Tax etc.
- storage space ( no garage )

I should let you guys know, I'm not strapped for cash, but i'm not rolling in it on my apprentice wage, but I would really love to keep my cheap eco 125.

My idea was to use the money from the sale of my 125 to pay for the insurance on my 600. If I keep it, this wont be an option. What do you guys say???

Cheers, Tom

Keep the one you like best!

Edit: or keep them both and just swap your plate over and keep your insurance paperwork with you

Probably not legal but I don't see you catching too much crap if you get pulled over. I could be wrong though...

just ship the 125 over here to the states. We don't have them here, and I'd love to ride the **** out of it. :-)

i would just sell the 125. i mean theyre almost the same bike, ones just got more power. and like others said, a 7 mi trip... what are you gonna save each trip, a matter of cents? you have to make alot of trips to save more money in gas, then you would have made by selling.

and i think a couple weeks into riding season you will prob just be riding the f4i 95% of the time. just a guess tho

Thanks for your opinions guys. 14 miles for work isn't alot but it's just nice to have the 125 as a back up but I guess it's more worth the money for the insurance towards my 600 ( insurance at my age sucks!! )

Cheers guys anyways.
