RE: Turbo Tax
I have.
The first time I used it, I used the free version linked from the IRS website.
Got a return of $600+ when I was not expecting anything back.
Then I went and bought a version of it that does 1099's.
I owed like $880 and got audited!!!
I'll never use it again.
They sent me a free version this year. Makes a great coaster.

RE: Turbo Tax
i have been using turbo tax for about 8 years and I have never had a problem with it. its fast and easy. you just have to make sure you have all of your forms like 1098s and 1099s. if you try to get off without enterng them you can get screwed. but thats with any tax preparation.i am using it again this year.

RE: Turbo Tax
i use turbo tax every year as well and have no issues. my uncle on the other hand (married, 4 kids, 2 in college, owns a house and my aunt runs her own bussiness) have been paying someone 250 a year to do their taxes and never had any issues but one year they wanted to try turbo tax since it was alot cheaper than 250 and he said he ended up getting 2500 less than if he would have had his usual person do it. so basically i guess it comes down to probably being good for singles without alot of baggage but probably not the best for the others.
