Day after.. more devastating information is coming in. In one town, they found 300 dead people. More people are missing. In small town where it got hit by massive Tsunami, there was one tall building. Some people went to the roof top and now they are stuck there. The sea water is not moving, just staying there, meaning possibility of entire ground sunk for permanently... town lost under water... three small villages are completely gone. Some old town.. old buildings are gone.

After I watched the news for Japan all afternoon and night as it happened, I had to turn in to online live TV for Hawaii. I am glad nothing major happened there.

People in Tokyo is still trying to go home since yesterday afternoon. I am still try to figure out if I am able to fly out tonight.

god bless japanese engineers...things could have been MUCH worse. Death toll likely over 1,000? That's it. Usually a fking 8.9 quake in such a high population density country like Japan could easily mean 100,000 dead.

And, I am not saying that 1,000 dead is something to be happy about, simply stating that it is a blessing and a miracle that the death toll is not higher.

That is a terrible event but that's the extent of how much I care. There are kids in America that starve to death, tons of people homeless. We need to fix American before we fix other countries....... And I'm not being a hypocrite, I donate every year to child sexual and beating harassment foundations....

Prayers to them though

That's great for you, but some of us have friends and family there.

I've spent all day trying to get ahold of family. Still have not ward from one of my uncles.

Wifey got relatively good news back via e-mail, they missed being in the underground by an hour. Quake happened one hour after ...all safe and sound...... Word is of pretty terrible devastation up along the coastline northeast of Tokyo.

hear ya Jpan .... amazing how well engineered those buildings were !
