Oh hell ... post failed again!! .. but I will try this in separate posts ... here goes nothing ..lol

This is Caldey Island taken from the South beach at Tenby Pembrokeshire ... it's inhabited by monks!! .. boat trips are available all day long to and from the island ....

Once on the island this is the Monastery and shops area .. the monks make perfume and some rather delicious chocolate :-)





From the monastery you can take the path across to the back of the island and visit the lighthouse ....

Sorry ... these caught my eye on the way up and I thought they were rather pretty ... in a wild unkept sort of way :-)




You can go right around the back of the lighthouse and walk around the back of the island for some distance .. behind me is
the Bristol Channel ...

The thing I love about the Pembrokeshire coast is the contrast in the beaches ... some can be really rocky l ike this at Manorbier although further up it's quite sandy ....
