What came with my bike is a 5mm allen wrench and the helmet lock cable. I bought the pin spanners for the rear preload on the same day I bought my bike. I thought it was bullshyt too [:@]

That's funny! If I were buying a brand new bike I would make it a point to let the sales guy know, No tools, No sale! These are roadside emergency items along with spare bulbs and a slim flashlight under the rear cowl.
