Default Title/Surety Bond

So I need to get a title bond for my bike since there is no other way to register it. Has anybody on here done this? Is it pretty easy to do? What are the fees like? Thanks

AL has pretty lax laws about getting a title, and even let you ride a salvaged bike with a salvage title.

I don't know CA laws, so I can't help you there.
Call the DMV and ask.

Things differ from state to state, But in KY you can take a bike with no title and do some work to it (make it street legal) like buy turn signals and stuff like that, keep all receipts for parts and labor (if any) and then apply for a custom bike title. It cost's around 100 bucks or so to do, but you can title a bike that doesn't have a title, as long as frame vin # doesn't come back as stolen or salvage.

Wow its been awhile.....but.....

I have done this. I had to purchase a Surety bond thru my bank for like 125 for 3 years. I took that, the bill of sale, and insurance to the registration office and paid for registration/taxes. Out the door it was 400. My title said bonded title but after 3 years it clears.....
