Do you tip your tattoo artist/piercer? If so, how much? If not, why not?

I VERY strongly believe in tipping, one, because it is a service industry, and it's standard to tip for good service. And two, because I know that's where those guy (and girls) really make their money. But when someone posed this question on another forum, I was amazed how many people replied that they do NOT tip....

So let's hear it!

 

I tip 20% for tattoos. Piercings I tip $5 - $10. If the artist is really nice and very professional, I tip just a little more. It also helps if he's cute too. HEHE

ive never tipped... butthen again ive never paid for ink or steal.. a good buddy owns a shop. so ive got the hook up. but then agian im sure ive covered tipping in other ways nights out at the clubs buying drinks.. or what ever

 

I always use the same artist who happens to be a friend of mine. Which is a even better reason to tip him, and I always do.

 

I got 10 tats and I get them all done from same guy, he gave me a hot dragon on my arm, I gave him a extra 100.00
I known him for 12 yrs now.

 

I always tip $20 for my tatoos. They deserve it I think. I try to us the same person all the time also.

 

Definetly, I Tipped for both my Tattoos and will continue to do so, But my gf did not tip for any of her piercings never really thought about it till now though,
