Loan. With the extra money you will be saving on not having to pay interest and a monthly payment, you can easily set aside some money for the pipe come early/mid riding season.

im probably only going to get 700-1000 but since the market is tankedi think i might buy up some down pricedblue chips stocks instead of blowing it on my bike so when the market recovers eventually i can hopefully buy a NEW bike with the money

The thing about getting a refund is that it means that you basically gave the government an interest free loan until they repaid you.
I know but sadly otherwise i suck at saving money...
At least you guys get a refund , in the UK we get sweet f**k all back 'n' pay plenty

I hope I get a lot back...last year was around 1600 but I'm not sure how it's going to work this year bc I'm a full-time student now and got financial aid this past year
Be sure to be aware of the Hope Education Credit and the Lifetime Learning Credit. I can't recall the details on both but they are direct CREDITS to your return (as opposed to AGI adjustments) and could add up to several thousand dollars you get back. All of you guys who are in school at least part time should be eligible (or whoever claims you as a dependent) IIRC.....
