RE: Taking the tree down today??
I never cut it down ..also in previous years I tried really hard with potted ones and they were great in that they lasted the holiday but when I put them out either in the pot or planted they just never thrived and were ugly by the summer/autumn so not useable for the following year ..Ideally I would love to just use the same live tree out the garden each year but it never worked for me ..I know friends who have managed it but not worked for me ..maybe there isnt enough root saved in the pot for them to thrive ...

Gosh, that does seem a bit soon ..at least the day after boxing day?? .. I came from a very traditional family and we always waited until the 5th of January and I usually have carried that on in my own home ..but this year ..pffffft!! ..lol

well i dont know how soon you get your tree, but usually its like 3 weeks before christmas (for the kids sake) and the kids had be re-arranging ornaments on the tree for weeks, so it was looking like it was time for it to go.
