Default Taking the tree down today??

Tradition says the 12th day of Christmas which means the 5th ... but I am fed up with the drooping branches and needles everywhere and the constant hoovering up that I am taking it down right this minute!! ..lol

I never cut it down ..also in previous years I tried really hard with potted ones and they were great in that they lasted the holiday but when I put them out either in the pot or planted they just never thrived and were ugly by the summer/autumn so not useable for the following year ..Ideally I would love to just use the same live tree out the garden each year but it never worked for me ..I know friends who have managed it but not worked for me ..maybe there isnt enough root saved in the pot for them to thrive ...

Most "clean cuts" here will generally fire up if you feed them Sugar/water after Harvesting..

We have a smaller (6ft) artificial tree that my mother in law decorated over many years. It gets covered and put into a closet of it's own. It really is amazing looking.

It's getting put away this weekend. Christmas is over.

well i dont know how soon you get your tree, but usually its like 3 weeks before christmas (for the kids sake) and the kids had be re-arranging ornaments on the tree for weeks, so it was looking like it was time for it to go.
