Surf Control
Well they just implemented an internet restriction program at work (surf Control) they said they wanted to block streaming video and forums. Well it blocks video alright but the only forum it blocks is this one! Apparently because the word "forum" is in the name and address bar. I can still get on every other forum I can think of, just not this one!

I'm guessing it doesn't block www.mozilla.com go there and install firefox, then use it when noones looking. Should be able to get around ie restrictions that way.

Surf Control actually sits between the router and the outside world. It reads everything going in or out and blocks accordingly. So, it doesn't matter which browser, proxy, etc. you use. It also logs every page you visit or try to visit. The filters/blocks can be based on user name or computer name. We have it at work, too. Haven't seen a consistent way around it yet.

Sux bro, that's just so wrong. I mean how DARE THEY expect you to NOT go on the internets and post on forums from work?! I mean what do they expect you to do while your on their premises being paid to do a job? Actually Work?!? Yeah right, I'd consider suing man.
