Super StreetBike Mag
Motorcyclist and Cycle World are my personal airport time killers of choice. Bought a Super Streetbike Mag once... I was disapointed in the lack of stats and general information in the magazine. The Article that sinched it for me was, from the cover, supposed to be about stretched and lowered bikes and how they could still perform in a way that "would suprise you" on the track and in stunting (stetched, chromed, big-fat rear tires, etc).
When I got to the article, they had comments about how you could still wheelie the bikes, but it wasn't very easy and the balance point was alot higher than stock. Said the wheelies were easier to balance because of the huge rear tire. So far so good... then they got to taking it to the track and such... they said that the tires made it harder to take turns, they lacked some ground clearance, and the fat tires weren't speed rated so they would sometimes spin under heavy throttle. That's it. They didn't post times, there was no comparison to a regular motocycle that the "blinged out" bike originated from... nothing. I wanted lap times, speeds, etc. They didn't give me any of that... I was very disapointed. I won't buy another one unless I want to get some idea's on making a custom piece of "bike art".

I just subscribed to 2wheel tuner. I like the show SuperBikes, and one of the editors of 2wheel tuner is the host of the show...so im assuming the mag is good.

I subscribe to 4 or so bike mags, Super street bike being one of them. It nice to look at custom bikes, the stunt scene, gear reviews, motorcycle laws through the states, chicks....so on. Sure it's mostly a stetched and slammed busa or ZX12/14, but there have been some slick CBR write-ups, CBR readers rides and so on. This last issue had a best of best article, and one of the "best of" was a sick CBR, I googled this bike and looked for it as I had not ever seen it before and wanted to learn more about it, but the thing was out of this world, built for the track, single side-arm, looked like AMA meets stunter bike if that makes any sense. I like details, specs and results, but also like to see a mag really devoted to customizing and having fun too. JMHO
