Default such a flawed system

not trying to start a debate about "my conference/team is better than your conference/team"...that'snot what thisis about...but anyone else notice how when the buckeyes got beat by illinois, everyone else for LSU and the SEC was talkin smack about how the buckeyes got beat by an unranked team at home while ranked #1. But as soon as LSU gets beat AT HOME by an UNRANKED TEAM the same people are no where to be found. I just find it very funny that the buckeye fans will stand behind their team, even when they lose, but the SEC fans will talk all kinds of trash UNTIL their beloved teams do not win.I'm not saying that only SEC fans talk trash...everyone does. Just seems to me that they are the ones who can and willdish it, but when their team loses, they hide because they can't take it. I will say i am a buckeye fan and not afraid to admit that on here or anywhere for that matter. As i said before, my intentions of posting this were not to start a huge fight, but rather give insight of my opinion. I'm sure someone will take it the wrong way, and if so, so be it. To be honest, yes i would love to see my buckeyes in the NC game, and i don't feel LSUshould have had another shot at it, nor do i feel the buckeyesshould either. They both had their chances and blew it.I alsofeel the BCS is a flawed system as do many others. I feel there should be a playoff system implemented somehow, and let teamsdecide on the field as to who is worthy...not a computer and aselect few voters. Just my thoughts. Any responses or thoughts are always accepted. As always, GO BUCKS!!!

Well...it is possible to have a national champ with two losses this year. Very interesting. If my Ducks wouldn't have lost to Arizona, we would be +1 right now. DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!!! [:@] Buckeyes still have a shot, though.

[ begin SEC smack talk ]

It's not an argument, it's a fact. There's not another division in the country where the team last in the division can beat the first place team on any given Saturday. Don't get me wrong, there are other teams in the country that can be much better individually than an SEC team but rankings mean squat in the S.E.C. because just about every team in the entire conference has a chance of winning even when the team is in the top 10 in the country. Kentucky was even ranked #5 in the country this year at one point for f9^ks sake deep into the season, Arkansas #16 and even Vandy!! I'm no LSU supporter but had they lost to an unranked team out of the conference I wouldn't look at it the same way. Arkansas is not exactly a pushover either ... don't let their not being ranked fool you. There's a reason teams like Hawaii that are undefeated don't get high rankings and teams like LSU get higher rankings "Strength of Schedule" .. schedule your season against sucky teams and live with the consequences if you end up with a surprisingly good team that year.

If I was a supporter of a non SEC team I would be happy because the SEC teams beat up on each other so regularly that it allows everyone outside the conference to move up past them .. conversely however, if the SEC team goes undefeated they deserve higher ranking imo because of their strength of schedule.

[ / end SEC smack talk ] [8D]

With the smack talk laid down however, I do agree LSU had it's chances and don't deserve another shot but I'm not really sure who does this year with all the weird games .. no one really seems to be a legit contender. Tennessee took out my teams chances but there's still small hope for the SEC championship.

i hate the damn ranking system...they should just move it to a playoff type one. who really cares if it would take longer anyways?

agree but won't happen in our lifetimes .. too much money in the bowl system for schools that would not be in playoffs ... which is why it gets voted down by the schools
