I agree with buying now, you can get more stocks with the same amount of money. There is no longer "long term investments" in the stock market. day traders have made a business out of profit taking. they buy today (especially at these prices) and sell when other investers jump in to take all profits and it a vicious circle. These guys are dealing in hundreds of thousands of dollars in one stock. Thats why our stock market jumps in such huge numbers daily.

But I am talking about money already invested. Lets use GM I have over 500 shares but we will use 500 for an example. Those 500 shares are worth $2,400 today last year they were worth $18,000. How long do you think its going to take to make back that $15,600 I lost? Im not sure it will ever return back to those prices in the first place.

Your talking 20% increase of our deficit to stimulate the country? Wow. And you cant really compare WWII numbers to current times.

Unless your retiring in the next couple of years...give it time. The bull market will come back.....so long as we continue to embrace capitalism not socialism *cough cough this election*...

Hard work, time and investment pays off...unless we tax each other into the ground in the name of bigger government..... that folks does not and will not work

well, one has to have $ to purchase stocks... which means I have to sit painfully on the side and watch an opportunity pass me by. Kinda sucks!!! I*ve been wanting to get into the stock market but have never been able to buy into it.
