RE: Stands

As long as your bike accepts rear spools then they look good to me.

It looks as if it has a universal mount also.

How do these stands compare with the ones mentioned above?

Also, how useful is a triple tree stand? Can the front wheel be removed without a triple tree stand?

Sorry forgot the link originally.

RE: Stands

they look flimsy to me like the lochhart phillip stands. Look for the T Rex stands same price but are much stronger looking. They also work with and without spools as well as are fully adjustable. They are on ebay for $105 shipped.

A front and rear stand for $90+ shipping is hard deal to argue with but personaly I like using Pitbulls.;) When I worked for a dealer we would fight over them because our boss was a little cheap and there wasn't enough to go around, just the ****ty stands.[:'(] I bought my own pitbulls, put my name on them, and when I leftI brought them with me.:D

RE: Stands

What's so great about pitbulls? $120+ for 1 stand is alot of money when I can get both for like $80 shipped elsewhere. It seems like you're paying for the name. What do pitbull stands offer that the T-rex stands dont?

Get a set of Pitbull stands. They work for damn near every bike out there.

The reason I ask is I am going to replace my front tire soon, and it costs $20 more to have them remove the wheel than just taking the wheel to them.

As I stated before the the T Rex are the stand I use and love them. They are awesome! just as good as any pitbull i've ever seen but a hell of alot cheaper.

Some people are obsessed with pitbull stands just like some people will only buy a ford or a chevy, but never want to touch the other.

RE: Stands

Is it possible to remove the front wheel with that front stand or do you have to have a tripple tree stand to remove the front wheel?

Triax 03-15-2007 01:23 PM

RE: Stands

you can remove it just fine with the stands

I have the T-Rex stands, they work great. was able to get the bike up all by myself, they are very sturdy, no problem holding me and the bike at the same time. ive kicked them several times, they work great. they are 1 1/2" thick too, not the normal 3/8" like other brands.

I am looking at those T rex stands...I guess they are a universal fit?

Think I might buy me a set....they look better then the ones in the orig post

Triax 03-16-2007 06:44 PM

RE: Stands

Trust me you won't be disappointed with these stands, not to mention you get the front and rear for less than the price of the name brand stands.

rrasco 03-16-2007 06:45 PM

RE: Stands

yeah, the rear has spool/swing option. you just unscrew a tightening bolt and flip it over and retighten. only thing to worry about it overtightening, because it will start to dig into the adapter.
