"Stand by me"
anyone seen this movie, lol? its an oldie but a goodie. while the forum was down over the weekend i poped this in and watched it.........WOW, what a depressing movie, lol. great plot, all about friendship and what you went through as a kid. if you havent seen it, its pretty good. love the soundtrack (oldies kick ***!!!). it was depressing as hell though.
had me thinking about my childhood, the friends that have come and gone. it reminded me of something Shoortbus posted a few months back that has stuck w/ me....."dont be 2 lines in the paper, be a whole chapter in someone elses life" -Shoortbus.

Oh man, I remember watching that movie as a little boyand, although I was entertained, I didn't quite understand it back then. I think you just motivated me to go and rent that and watch it again. Good call!
Has anyone seen this movie?
Listen here, kiddo
, some of us are 30 and older - I know I grew up on this movie. Definitely an all-timeclassic.
"Chopper - sick *****!"
The pie-eating scene FTW!!!
"I love a cigarette after a good meal." RIP River Phoenix.

I'll also never forget the first time I saw that kid pull the leech out his drawers...hahaha!!!
Great, Great movie. Instant classic. Also worth watching:
-Goonies
-Breakfast Club (must see, I am amazed at how many younger people have not seen this one)
-16 Candles (at least once, just for the drunk "Long-Duck-Dong" scene or her gram's feeling her up)
-Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Yeah the kids these days dont even know what good movies are like. They grow up on such crap its not even funny. The 80's were a spectacular decade for movies. Back when the writing, directing, and acting worked magic. Not just filling it with CG effects. The vibe of all 80s movies is a constant that just makes u feel good. Even better for all of us who actually grew up watching the stuff. Even the youngn's who eventually do give them a try really like em. Must be strange to see life without cell phones and computers. Or windows that you have to crank up and down in the vehicles. **** im only 29 but it must seem like the stoneage lol
