speeding ! WTF
my barley running on her last legs 89 cbr 600 streetfighter (more like a bumfights) got to ride with some 09 cbr rr
after the ride she wouldnt start . it was her last wish and she got it . trying to fix it now.
well wht i didnt understand is how theses guys on there brand new bikes could speed -average speed of 70-. in a 55 . and they were touching off 140 -so they said.
i asked them about the cops and they said they would run! when i heard tht my heart sank .
i love to go fast to but i also love my bike , and wouldnt want her to go to the pound or grave yard. same for me!
to have something so sweet and not appreciate it

Geese , dunno who these guys are that speed like that and then run if caught !!!
but I would not hang around with them , or take my old girl out for a blast with them ...
To risk a huge fine , canceled license and possibly jail for that type of chit, is not for me or for that matter , most guys with half a brain these days....

Hitting 100+ isn't a big deal, I'll usually hit around 100-110 when I accelerate to pass Semis on the freeway, truckers around here don't watch for bikes, best to be by them and out of their blind spot as quick as possible. But before I get up to them, and after I pass them I usually run about 5 or 7 miles over the speedlimit, or with traffic, whatevers faster. Running at 140 for $hit$ and giggles in a populated area then fleeing the police is something kids do after their mommies buy them a new sportbike cause they managed to get 3 c's on their report card., they have no respect for something they didn't earn. Find some adults to ride with, you'll be alot better off. Only decent thing about guys like that is they don't tend to ride for very long, the law of averages eventually catchs up to them and they either lose the bike or become a road stain, no big loss for the gene pool either way.

Yup , I agree with yu Hangfire ... hitting the gas on open road to pass and alike is pretty normal ... and when safe , sure I am guilty of that quite often too

I am assuming that speeding at all and breaking the road law is regarded as disrespecting the law..
May I ask if you ever speed ? or do you only sit on the exact speed limits all the time?
I only ask this because as we all know,these high powered CBR's are pretty hard to keep below all the hyway speed limits all the time...

if i were to see flashing cop lights behind me.. i'd pull over just to see if he was really pulling me over or maybe telling me to get out of the way.. but if he pulls over with me.. im gonna have to run too.. for the reason that i have no license.. no insurance.. and the bikes not registered under my name.. =/

I mean i know the feeling and i have contemplated several, multiples and many times to just take her out for a nice long ride. I have even had the tenacity to ride her to school once. (and i even passed a 5.0 on the way home) My ***** are stills dragging behind me from that. I simply cherish my bike right next to my freedom and they would be going through the arches hand in hand if i was legal and had my lisence. But wha?! You just ride around risking all thats great in life? Dude, theres no chicks in jail...
