Something is wrong with this picture....
My night wasn't going that good to begin with and then I'm out in my shop working on my dirt bike and I spot this! I was coming back from my girlfriends a couple weeks ago about 10:00 at night. I was following behind a car as I went over some railroad track and bam!! I hit a huge hole or something! The fact that the car was in front of me and it was dark there was no way or me seeing it in time. I just got done telling my dad last week that story and I was like, "I can't believe it didn't bend my rim." I guess I didn't look good enough

There was some forsale in the private sales section. I think the were for a 929 or some kind of 900, they may work though. Doesnt hurt to check um out
I have the same issue, although not as bad. I took it to a dealership and was told that it would cost me $110-$140 to straighten it out and repaint it to factory specs. I opted to wait because they said it really wasn't that bad and no safety issues.
Maybe you can take it to a shop and see how much it would cost to straighten it and repaint it for you. It might be cheaper although I don't know if there are any consequences to this.
Any others have an opinion on that? I thought about just straightening mine vice buying a new rim.

that rim is more than able to be fixed. give this guy a shout. he is damn good and fast. tell him brad from superbike supply sent ya! i have sent more rims to him than i can count. even had an AMA privateer buy a set of wheels from me that he fixed. rode them almost all of last year (bought them 2 or 3 races into the season) with no problems.

Do you guys think its still safe to ride for a little while? I rode over 20 miles home from when it happened and it rode just fine. I might be able to get a couple more rides in before the weather really turns.
