Something of Value from Me to You.

Something of Value from Me to You.
A quick story.
During the Mid 1980s I was given $30,000. I decided to invest it rather than spend it ( I did buy a car stereo with some of the money, but not a car or another depreciating asset), The rest was put into TFONY a mexican telephone stock. Since then it split several times and spun off AMX (now TFONYs symbol is TMX). The dividends I get are almot $30,000/per year on the two stocks (combined), an it is worth right a a million dollars.
The stock is at it again. I think that this is the investment to begin your core holdings with. The spinnoff will be awesome for growthand the remaining TMX will be a good solid dividend player with some growth. Please read the article and consider it, look at the historical charts for TMX and AMX, research Carlos Slim.
Maybe for some of you guys that are thinking of upgrading to a new bike will put that off for a year and try to invest a couple of thousand. Trust me, there is nothing like the feeling of seeing something grow for no other reason than you planned correctly.

Nothing better than seeing your stock split. Good post. Not to high jack your thread but, I think in about six months it's going to be a great time to invest back into the housing market. Personally I think prices should be at a all time low if you looking to buy. When I mean buy I don't mean buy to flip, it will take some time for the market to recover.

As of July 4, 2007, it was Slim. But Microsofts stock has been depressed for a while and TMX and AMX were rockin' so at any time Bill can be the richest. The point being, Carlos Slim is a smart F**K, I think he is a financial genius. Since he has made HUGE money in the past, it seems as though he may be able to do it again. To ride his coat-tails is pretty easy.
Part of this is that you are investing in you faith of a people as a leader and a visionary, not just a 'company'
Links claiming Carlos is #1, but it really doesn't matter, it is all stock price on any given day.
